This directory contains the summary and status of proposals made
to the IEEE 1275 Open Firmware working group.

If you are reading this file (or a copy of this file) from
playground.sun.com, this directory is generally updated weekly,
or on an as-needed basis.

readme		This file.

proposal.tar.Z		This whole wad of stuff, in comressed, tar format.
			(Excluding this file).


status			Summary status of proposals. This file is 
			created using the shell script getstatus.sh

summary			One line summary of proposals. This file is
			appended to by the getitems.sh file in the New sub-
               directory.

catfiles.sh:   This script concatenates all the New and Pending proposals into 
               one text file and then translates it to PostScript 
               Output Files are : PPCItems.txt and booger (Postscript)

genscores.sh:  This script creates a scorecard (sorts proposals by 
               New,Pending,Closed)

getstatus.sh:  This file gathers status of all proposals and combine with the 
               summary file, sorted (Output is to stdout).


Proposal.template	Template and instructions for proposal submission.

New/			Directory: Text files of new proposal items.
               These files are created by the shell script
               "getitems.sh" in this directory.
			The status files marked as "New" are
			also created by the same shell script.

Closed/			Directory: Text files of closed proposal items.
Closed/rejected/	Closed proposals - rejected or withdrawn.
Closed/accepted/	Closed proposals - accepted (with or without change).

Pending/		Directory: Text files of "pending" proposal items.
